1. I inherited an old HP Laserjet 6L from my Dad, who hardly used it. Maybe he printed 500 pages total. It appears to be in perfect condition, excpet.... Well, when I got it, it had a torn sheet under the main assembly that I somehow managed to extricate. But the printer still shows a continuous single amber light (at the top) and doesn't function at all. When I send tests to the printer it does nothing and I hear no action. Resetting it doesn't do a thing. Any ideas?

    I have an hp2600n laser color printer, and I run my own (very small) greeting card company. I print all my product at home. The problem is, recently everthing I print is coming out with a grey "residue" on it. I've pin pointed the problem area as the fuser sleeve/heat roller...can i replace this? or clean this? HELP!   4. We are having a problem with our HP1300 laserjet printer. The paper jams as it is coming out and when we pull it out it looks like an accordion. If we open the back door the page comes out fine. The print quality is good. We use the printer at our business to print invoices so it's important we try to get it fixed. Thanks for your help.

  7. I'm thinking about buying a color laser to replace my inkjets. The inkjets always die because I don't use them often enough. What's the deal with toner cartridge expirations? How long (time-wise) do they typically last? I'm looking at an HP 3600n which has a 4000-color-page/6000-B&W estimated toner life, which should last me several years. Does HP put the awful expiration chips in toner cartridges like they do (or did?) on inkjet refills?

  8. I have an hp laserjet 3055 which is only 2 years old. Instead of purchasing a new cartridge I had the one I have refilled. For a couple days, things were ok. Then I started getting a black page whenever I try to copy or fax a document. I did the performance cleaning suggested by the manual and nothing seems to work. I have no trouble printing though, which is the strange part. I tried to call HP for help but they only want to sell me a refurbished or a new printer because I have no more warranty on the printer. I would like to know what steps can I follow to solve the problem myself instead of having to dish out a small fortune for fixing the problem? Thanks, Narlyne
